The European Parliament approved the European Union's first-ever Soil Monitoring Law, a landmark directive aimed at contributing to the efforts towards the restoration of soil health across Europe by 2050. This new directive provides a critical framework that strongly supports the mission and activities of SOILL and the Mission Soil network of Living Labs.

Since May 2025, SOILL-Startup partners have connected communities across Europe through a series of engagement events on a set of topics revolving around soil health, to support applicants in preparing competitive proposals for the 2025 Mission Soil topics on Living Labs.

SOILL-Startup is gathering feedback from applicants on their experiences applying to the Living Lab topics in the EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe”.
