CREA at the Festival della Scienza: Exploring Soil Perspectives
CREA will be participating in the 23th edition of the Festival della Scienza in Genoa, Italy. As a leading international event for the spread of scientific culture, the festival serves as a primary point of reference for researchers, communicators, and artists from all over the world.
About the Festival
The Festival della Scienza is a major annual event that brings hundreds of scientists and experts to Genoa every October and November. The programme features a wide array of conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and special events designed for audiences of all ages and knowledge levels.
Recent editions have seen 200,000 visitors, including 25,000 students from across Italy. Each year is defined by a specific keyword that acts as a fil rouge to guide visitors through more than 300 scheduled events.
CREA's Laboratory
CREA will contribute to the festival with a dedicated laboratory/workshop. This initiative aims to involve students and families in both fun and experimental activities to help them understand:
- The complex connections within the soil ecosystem;
- Strategies for preserving soil health, such as the use of Living Labs (LLs).
Through this interactive experience, visitors will explore the vital role of soil and the scientific methods used to ensure its protection.
